Home and Garden Rebate
Spend $200 (Inc GST) on approved home products and receive a rebate of $50 paid as a credit to your Essential Water account.
Spend $75 (Inc GST) on approved garden products and receive a rebate of $25 paid as a credit to your Essential Water account.

- 4-star water efficiency rated dishwasher
- 4-star water efficiency rated washing machine
Garden rebate
- Organic mulch or compost
- Mulch or compost bin
- Soil wetting/moisture agents
- Soil moisture or rain sensors
- Garden tap timers
- Rain water diverters
- Trigger nozzles
- Irrigation system controllers
- Drip watering systems
- Weep hoses
- Temporary grey water diverter
Who is eligible?
The rebate is available only to residential Essential Water account holders at their principal place of residence.
Tenants, landlords, commercial customers or customers who do not live at the house that they hold an Essential Water account for are not eligible to apply.
Eligible customers can apply for one or both of the rebates during each of the following periods:
- 1 September 2011 to 30 June 2012
- 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013
- 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014
Can I claim both the home and the garden rebate?
Yes, you can claim one or both of the rebates – it’s important to remember to keep your receipts as proof of your purchases.
Do I have to purchase goods in one transaction?
No, you can make individual purchases up to or over the minimum spend of $200 for the home rebate and $75 for the garden rebate. You should submit individual receipts as one claim when you have reached the minimum spend for each rebate.
